The candidate is applying for the position of junior firefighter with the East Brunswick Independent Fire Company. The position of Junior Firefighter is open to those between the ages of 16 and 18 who are still attending Highschool. Your answers to these questions are very important to us in evaluating the applicant's abilities and character. As a junior firefighter, the candidate will participate in minimal risk hands-on training as well as minimal participation in, and observation of, active emergency scenes with careful, trained supervision. While we value every junior firefighter in our organization, their performance in school is also critical to their success. If the applicant is struggling in school they will be prohibited from response/attendance until their performance has returned to a satisfactory level as judged by their parent(s)/guardian(s).
