Eugene was inspired to become a volunteer in the 8th grade when he witnessed a team of firefighters respond to an emergency and was motivated to help people in the same way. He later became a firefighter in Morganville, NJ in 2008, and joined EBIFC in 2014 once he relocated to town.

Eugene credits the fire service for giving him great experience that has translated to other parts of his life, including his day job as an Assistant Fire Marshal. He encourages you to join his team at EBIFC because of the positive learning environment. He says: “We have a great group of line officers that are always willing to teach,” and he has learned a lot from others’ advice and experience.
